Post-secondary ESL students from colleges and adult schools in the Bay Area check out how their peers find out about news by asking the following questions.
1) Do you follow the news?
2) What interests you?
3) Where do you look?
4) Who do you believe?
5) Are your perspectives being represented?
Please identify news sources by name or website where possible.
Yumi comes from Japan and she is a nice lady. She usually follows
the news by KQED radio in her car, and sometimes watches and reads CNN
on TV and website. She is interested in business, particulaly jobs market,
because she is searching her job. And she has two children, so she
is interested in education too. KQED radio is public radio supported by
donation that's why she believes the radio. But she thinks news source
is limited to her, therefor her perspective is't represented.
